Default Leasing companies question.

Anyone from Brooklyn,NY ever used any of these 1 million leasing companies we have here, are they legit or what? Seems like they have deals that are a lot better then a dealership, but highly suspicious that they can have better deals then a regular dealership. Maybe someone outside of NY leased a car straight from a leasing company and would know also, thanks.

Lexus is offering very low money factors right now. I can't imagine there are any other leasing companies that could compete.

One plus of a leasing company is that you can negotiate a purchase price at the end of a lease.I was even offered a lower cost a week or so before my turn in date.That was 8 years ago,I don't know if it's that way today.
With Lexus,you can't or at least that's what I was told when we just leased the Wife's RX.

Based on my experience LFS offers only closed-end lease agreements, which by definition have a predetermined (non-negotiable) residual value and fixed terms.

Independent lease companies are just brokers. The actual lease underwriters are large national banks such as Chase, US Bank, Wells Fargo, and others. They usually offer good money factors but terrible residuals. Carmakers can do better, especially for promotional deals.
