I can only play DVD movies when the transmission is in the park position with the emergency break on. The engine has to be off too.

I live in Houston, Texas and everyone knows that it is very hot in the south. Lexus wants us to watch movies in the 100 degree heat? There is no A/C when the engine is off.

Does anyone else agree with this ideal? I thought it is good to watch movies while on a trip or something. Why do we have to watch movies while the transmission is in park with the engine off?

I have a 2008 GS350. Is there a fix for this?

liabilities - another reason why lexus won't allow you to enter a destination point while driving....yes, there is a solution....search the forum for the best option for you.

no, the engine doesn't have to be off to watch, just the parking brake has to be on.

There is a fix for this. But it does involve modifying the factory wiring. You can see the sticky in our forum here:
