GS Wheel Offest?
I see alot of owners talk about specific aftermarket wheel offsets. I understand what the offset means but can the offset be different with a "reverse lip" wheel? Actually, can someone explain what "reverse lip" means and how it affects the offset? My wheels are reverse lip but I have no idea what the offsets are, they just work.
stepped lips and reversed lips do not affect the offset, they are 2 separate things
reversed lips are completely "flat" lips. stepped lips, there is a "step" on the lip, makes it look like there are 2 levels of lip (and the center face will be smaller of course)

Basically, does a reverse lip wheel have the step on the inner part of the wheel and vice versa for the step design? Personally, I favor the reverse lip design. Is it a cosmetic thing or is one design functionally better than the other?
I know for the aftermarket reverse lip wheels the valve stem is usually in a different location than a factory wheel.

it's totally cosmetic these days. from what i heard, in the old days stepped lips could probably a stronger structural design on the wheels. but with the current technologies, reversed lip wheels are just as strong, so it becomes a matter of personal preference.
