If you a certain that you have something rolling around in your glove box, you might find that it is your sunglasses in the sunglass holder. I had emptied everything out of the Glove Box and even took it to the dealer to find out what was rolling around. - Embarrassed to find out it was my sunglasses.
So today, I bought some of the little round green felt pads at Home Depot. These are used under items to keep them from scratching furniture. I put two of them about the size of a dime on each side of the sunglass holder and - No more noise!
No dash/windshield rattles either going on 5 months now!
I been on this GS forum for 3 months now and this is the 3rd post regarding sunglasses rattles I am surprise the GS dont have felt or rubber on the side of the sunglass holder. I just put my sunglasses into a case b 4 I put it in the holder, no more noise. BTW, I did the same as you, empty the whole glove compartment, I would swear thats where the noise was coming from, but I didnt go to the dealer though.
The holder is supposed to take place of a case/bag so you can reach up with one hand, open it, and put in/take out your sunglasses... Good find cut-throat!
