Default Phone Problem

Every time I connect my phone to the car via bluetooth, it says it's connected with my phone and I'm able to receive calls as well as make calls. But most of the time the buttons are dark shaded and I cannot make them do anything. Can someone please tell me what the problem is? Thanks.

yeah you can't use phone (except speed dial) while the car is in motion

nav override is your only answer

2 ways that I know of:

1: Nav Hack

2: Pick up your phone and dial through it

#2 does not work well, there is a 1-2 second delay, other party may hang up before Bt connects the call

I've not had the issue with any of my phones (Sony Ericsson w810i, Nokia N75, and Motorola PEBL).

+1 on dialing via the phone and handling via the car. have a blackberry and Motorola razr. so long as the phone is linked ahead of time, using the keypad on the phone or even using the phonebook in the phone to select a number to dial works without delay.
