OK. Can any one out there tel me if the key is in the car can the Lexus computer (the one the dealer has) start the car? I believe it can. if it can I need to get my hands on one so I can make a Remote starter for our cars. I can make one with a lexus key and the codes that start and stop the car. This would be a very easy system to both install and operate. I would also be able to get it to work off the Text messaging system that Sprint PCS has for 2.99 a month. Who would not pay 40 bucks a year to have unlimited distance remote start and stop, lock, unlock, even temp control of your car? If you have any answers please let me know.

Are you asking if you can get your hands on a device that will let you find the codes of Lexus cars so you can start any Lexus car with a remote starter? If so, I highly doubt Lexus will let anyone in the public to have such a device since it poses a great security risk.

I don't even know if Lexus has such a device because even when you want to program a new key, they dealer must use a key that is already programmed so they can program the new key. Therefore, Lexus having such a device is not likely.

Just my thoughts though.
