Default Fact finding mission...

I have discovered something unusual about my ride and want to know if anyone else has this problem.

When my headlights are on... and I go to wash the windshield... my heaglights blink "off and on" one time.

Anyone else noticed this before I head back over to Newport Lexus?

Do you have headlight washers on your car? They only spray (at least on my LS) when the lights are on and you wash the windshield. It definitely looks like the lights blink when they fire off.

not sure if it gets anywhere, but do you have your headlight washers on as well?

lol, we asked the same thing at the same time. the headlights washers are on only when headlights are on, i believe that's true, also on our sc430 and i believe the ls460l

i wonder if the headlight washers are on as well, and when you spray the windshield, the headlight washers block some of the light creating the on/off illusion

Even if they are on, I can not duplicate the problem without shutting the car off...meaning if I spray the windows the lights blink, if I do it again 10 miles later they do not...

I suggest you have someone else spray while you're standing in front of the car so you can observe what happens.

Interesting, sounds like you have an isolated issue. I don't have that issue with my GS.

You should request something different...an IS, RX or GS or dare I say LS?

That's a new one on me... Can't wait to see what you come up with... I was thinking the water may be setting off your auto light sensor, but ...who knows, drop in and ask the experts at Newport to explain it to ya!
