Default Is there a Forced induction 3rd gen out there yet?

As the title says.

I am looking to either get a 2nd gen and do a Swap, or get a 3rd gen and see what the options are. I want the AWD so it is a year round car. But need the power. anyone with any ideas?

The Tom's kit which has not been tested to work with the US-spec ECU's, retail price is $10,000 good for about 50hp only.

Unfortunately no. The 3rd gen GS300 is the bastard child 3GS. Only one year offered here in North America and it was gone the next.

The blitz package will probably go for around 6-7k without install. I have realized after dumping close to 16k into g35 sedan that I made into a race car that I could have just bought a faster car. also forced induction is not as reliable as they make it out to be. no matter what kind of power you have after a couple of months you will start wanting more. wanting more means more boost, which results in smaller pulley for the supercharger or more boost dialed in on your boost controller(or larger intercooler, nitrous, cryo intercooler sprays, larger down pipes ...yada yada yada... the list goes on and on. Bottom line is you will normally push forced induction until you blow the motor. The stock bottom end and fuel system of a normally aspirated car are not made for large boost. I have seen at least 9 or 10 guys who have run twin turbo,s/c kits on the g35s and 350 z and they eventually cause engine failure and have to rebuild. I agree driving a tuned car is more fun, but to an extent. I still think about my old g35 all the time, but i love my lexus. I think the car looks feminine and a little weak with 18's and the stock ride height but that will all change soon. If you had to do it, go with the 2nd gen with a 2jzgte swap. Good luck!!

If you want the AWD and do forced induction, your best bet is to get a 06 GS300 AWD and do a custom super or twin turbo charging. Throw in lower compression forged pistons and high boost and we are talking some serious AWD power sedan.

Problem with 07-08 GS350 is that it's got the very high compression direct injection engine and it's hard to do a forced induction on these DI engines because I believe you can't just throw in lower compression pistons into these DI engines like you would do with traditional port injection engines. That's why you see these kits made only for GS430 which is non-DI engines, exception of Tom's Hyper Compressor - GS350 kit which can only give you like 50hp for nearly $10,000. Very expensive for mere 50hp probably for above reasons.

Hate to do this but I recommend getting something else like BMW 135xi, 335ix or 535ix as it's already got the turbo charged engine and AWD and even with little bit of tuning, you can easily get 350 hp no problem with this car. By factory turbo charging this engine, it's already becoming a tuner's dream and it wont' be too long before someone cracks the ECU if no one hasn't done it already.
