Don't bother, it takes forever to even get a confirmation from Lexus factory in Japan. I waited over FOUR months for my special order, did not even get a confirmation from them.

IMO, don't bother!!!

lol, it's about your dealership, not lexus in japan. i have seen special ordering coming through in 3 months no problem. your dealership has to do the work to get it in and follow up, which i know a lot of dealerships don't do. and they just try their luck of preferencing the car (which is completely different process)

also, just want to bring up, I've been told this by at least 4 dealers that they all put in their special order on the 20th of every month.

it should theoretically only takes 3 months, so if you go to the dealer and the beginning of the month and put your money down, they won't order the car until the 20th, thus makes it seem like you actually wait close to 4 months to get it.

Dealership is the key to getting what vehicle you want and how ambitious they are in what they wanna sell. Being that we in SoCal are spoiled, special orders for us don't sit at the port very long as the largest Toyota/Lexus port is located here in Long Beach.
