I turn my 06 300 on this morning, and I always have my a/c on "Auto".. well this morning, no air running at all. I look down and see my Front defroster button light is flashing on and off orange of course. I push my a/c button and the screen background is visible but nothing at all is filled in just a blank screen with a background. After about 30 seconds everything popped up and a/c kicked on... I thought whatever no big deal, well as I am driving into work I can feel heat on the right side of the car, I put my hand in front of the passenger vents and they are blowing fire... mind you my a/c is set for both driver and passenger to 72, I crank the a/c down to MAX COLD and the air is just blowing hotter and harder on the passenger side, but drivers side is COLD... what gives? I have made an appointment for today but wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen.

 

i have the same issue now with that light blinking but it is only blowing air from the defroster windshield part.. i can set it to front ventilation and still doesnt change it,.

 

sounds like a mechanism that shift the flow of air from the defroster to the normal out put has busted. Doesnt sound easy to fix but I am no mechanic.

when this happened on our RX330, it was because the AC compressor had seized and couldn't engage.
