Default Driving the 06 prices down

I was reading some of the posts here how the GS460 will drive down the prices of the GS430's. Any thoughts on that?

I was looking at a 06 430 today with 12,000 miles and the dealer was asking 42,000. Not in a big rush to get the G3 but if the right deal came along I could.

Whats your thoughts on buying a 06 now or waiting until after the release of the 460.

Thanks

Trust me, I've been looking. 3GS resale has been EXCEPTIONAL, great for owners and sellers, bad for us that want to buy a 2nd hand one!

Looking nationwide, the lowest GS 430/300 prices are in the mid 35k range and its only a few. Most are in the 40k range.
GS 350 prices are in the 42k and up range.
GS 450h, sigh, 50k and up range.

I am noticing GS 300 resale is nearly ON PAR with a GS 430. So a used GS 430 depreciates more.

Don't expect an immediate impact of seeing GS 460s hurting GS 430 prices.

really? i've seen the prices of the 3rd gen gs3 come down to like the 30-32k range on eBay.

In fact, here's one on eBay right now.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus...spagenameZWDVW

The only thing is that with purchasing a new car, I'd want to get more HP than 245 but if I can save 10-15k with buying an 06 GS3 vs an 07/08 GS350 or whatever other GS engine, I would probably save the money and use it towards rims and a drop and a front lip...

Honestly- right now, this car owns me...

Default Price on a new GS430?

My local dealer has one left with a MSRP of $59K. What's a fair number to buy this car?

Quite interesting that these '06 GS300/430's are going for 32-39K already, when "06 IS350's are going for around the same price. I guess exclusivity/low supply of the IS350 is driving price up.

Then again, the '06 GS did come out in the beginning of '05.

i know, really. There is a fully loaded IS350 blk/blk with 14K miles and they've been asking $37K for about a month now.

that, and also that gs300 and 430 are "old". gs350 blows away the 300 for about the same price new (thus driving down the 300 used prices), and for 430, right now the 450h already goes over it easily, and those who know, the 460 will make the 430 like nothing.

Hi! When you swapped out for the GS430 18's did u do it at the dealer or at a tire specialist? How much did it cost approximately?

Thx.

I just bought a fully load with every options equipped 06 gs300 from a Lexus dealer here in south Florida for 36k with only 4600 miles...Its a great time to get an 06 right especially with all the new models hitting the market in October. GL

I purchased the rims from someone who sells factory chrome rims and ordered tires online from tirerack.com, whole thing cost about $1500. I sold my spider G rims here on CL. Your old rims have the sensors which need to be moved to the new rims, any tire shop should be able to do the job. I had mine done at a non-chain place nearby, cost about $100 to mount new tires, balance and move sensors from my old rims. You can find new 18 inch take off rims on ebay for $500-600 for a set. I have a set in the classifieds, but they are readily available if you look around.
