18" summer tires

I am purchasing a 07 GS 350 from a dealer in the south and the car is coming with 18" summer tires. I live in Michigan--should I consider a different tire before the car is shipped? Any suggestions?

If they'll buy the summer tires back from you then by all means do it. Are you getting AWD? AWD with summer tires shouldn't be TOO BAD in the winter. If they won't buy them back then I'd say just drive it through the winter, and if you really get stuck even with AWD, then get them changed.

You should be able to exchange the tires for all season tires at Meade Lexus. I did that for my AWD GS300 with the 18 inch wheels. They work like magic in the snow. Never ever use summer tires in winter of course.
