I'm sorry to add another "rattle" post. There seems to be so many of them. So far, I haven't been able to find a single post regarding my specific rattle.

The rattle I am hearing is on the passenger side of the dashboard. It sounds like it is closer to the windshield and speaker area. I don't hear the rattle during the day. Only when the sun goes down in the evening when it becomes cooler. When I hear the rattle, it sounds almost like part of the dashboard is rubbing against another surface. It also goes away when I apply a little pressure to the dash just above the glove compartment.

I've had Lexus Santa Monica look at this problem twice. Last week, they added insulation somehow without removing the dash. That didn't help. Next week, I plan to try Keyes Lexus. They were helpful in resolving rattles in my brother's ES 350. However, it's getting to the point where I am thinking of getting into the dashboard myself, but I don't know how.

Has anyone experienced the rattle I am hearing? Any DIY advice or should I just let the dealership handle it?

Ask the dealer to remove the dashboard and insulate the radio and speakers. That is what they did to my GS350, and the rattles are gone... FINALLY!!!
