remove the A pillar cover.
use a flathead screw driver,put some masking tape on the screwdriver tip.
And gently pry up the cover from left to right.
I think the speaker is held in by 2, 10mm bolts

Take a quarter and stick it in the gap between the speaker grill and the dash, pry it up. It pops off easy. Speaker is right there. I did this just to add some foam tape around under those covers because they can be a rattle source.

this audio system manual is GOLD!!
are you able to also upload the manual for navigation ecu and other pdf files to do with the nav system? trying to do a gen4 to gen5 conversion and in dire need of wiring schematics for both 06 and 08 models both with ML!
