Default Fabulous Eyelids - Application and Pics!

Hey Guys,
Back again with another mod to the Lex...this time: Fabulous Eyelids. Thanks to Dave (Eternity) for the Eyelids and the very nice paint job. Here we goooooooooo...

The eyelids come with some very nice double sided tape. You'll need to apply a good amount around the border to get a seal. Use a sharp utility nice or a pair of scissors to cut the tape around the eyelids:

Once applied, peel off the white paper and get ready for the application:

What's nice about these eyelids is that they have an indentation on one of the sides for a snug fit on the chrome borders of the headlight. You need a steady hand - this double sided tape is so sticky you only get one chance for a perfect fit!

Repeat the process for the other side. Then you're done! The whole process takes about 30-45 minutes...pretty simple install. Here are some before and after pics...I think they look sweet!

There you have it! Good luck!

(In case you're wondering why my windshield wipers are up - I just finished washing my car!)

Great write up Mark, and a nice job! How much was for the pair, including paint job?

OT: after the last week, I don't think I ever gonna look at "VT" sign the same. My prayers go off to the families, friends, and the whole community!!!

THey actually turned out pretty well.. They flow better with the hood line and looks like one line going across the lights.. Nice job...

Same here about the VT logo...I graduated in 2004 and a majority of my engineering classes were in Norris Hall....sad.

Total cost was around 165 bucks with the paint job included.

wow. Those actually do not look too bad at all! I have seen the eyelids for the sc3/400s and 2nd gen GS and those were just uh... yeah.

These, however, are a subtle compliment to the lines from the hood. It grows on you! Nice!

IMO it looks good either way although the eye lids makes it look more distinctive. How long would the double side sticky last with the car washes and rain?

Looks nice! It blends in the line from the hood and carries it over to the headlight. I like it!

I'm not sure...I guess I'll have to learn the hard way...the double sided tape supplied is realllllllly sticky...I'm assuming it'll withstand numerous car washes and rain.
