Default 6K Fog Lights - Installation Guide & Pics!

Hey guys...I've finally had time to put together an installation guide for my 6k HID fogs. Since my guide has almost 60 pictures, I've created a .pdf file that you can download from the following link:

http://www.nvtemps.com/documents/6k-guide.pdf

Just right-click and Save As...

Here are a few pictures of the end result...I must admit, I am quite pleased with the turnout!

Before 6K HID fogs (9006 Sylvania Silver Stars)

After 6K HID Fogs

Here are what the light beams look like...gotta love the color match!

I hope some of you guys find my guide useful. Any feedback will be appreciated. Good luck!

amazing install guide...now that youve done this, can u tell if people are bothered by the glare considering you stuck it in the stock housing which is just a reflector right, there is no projector in the foglights.....I have read over and over that HIDs need projectors to work properly and safely (for traffic ahead of you)

I had the same concern as you. I had a couple of buddies drive towards me then past me to see if they could handle the foglights in the night time. All of them said they were bright but it wasn't a disturbing glare.

did you make sure the lights are properly aligned. I know that on the 05-06 LS' they all of the fogs seem to be pointed sky high. on SGTs GS his were aimed too far down.

from your picture on the door they look pretty good but maybe at 150ft they are more bothersome.

Just a heads up. You can also upload the PDF file directly in your post as an attachment.

Fogs are properly aligned. I had to adjust the right fog light a little bit because it was aiming too high.

havnt had time to dload it yet, but cant wait to see what the techs did to put in the HID into my car, by looking at your work.

Btw, I think on the 07 anyways, both the fogs and normal driving lights are aimed lower. Once I measure about 4 car lengths infront, my driving light is already aiming at the ground. And fog lights you cant even see where it already hit the ground. guessing its before where the main lights did.

dloaded the pdf. nice! Yours is white in the pic. Mine is more a bright white with some blue in it. Is your pictures off on the color, or does your 6k really show up at being all white?

If you look at the pictures posted above...you will notice that they are white with some purple-blueish tint to it.
