You're not alone. I too just purchased a new 2007 GS350 AWD w/ML from Utah and drove it home to So Cal. My radio reception is really bad also. I just sold my 2002 IS300 which had no problem at all with the stereo in the same area I am having problems now. I have a feeling it has to do with the new fin antenna for the 2007 models. I figured that I need to just get over it and get the XM module from Lexus and be done with it.

I dont think it has to do with the shark fin. That is only for xm. The radio ant. is in the rear window. It may sound silly, but My car is shadow quartz(flint mica) and the loner they gave me was the same color. The loner car had a bad reception. Also the manager of the dealership said his brother had a es in the same color, and also had a problem. I think it has to do with the paint.

Default GS 300 Radio Reception Problems

I am having FM reception problems on my 2006 GS 300. My wife's 2007 GX450 has no problems and receives far more stations with no static or interference. Before I take it to the dealer (Lexus of Rockville (MD)) I was wondering if anyone else had success in having this problem resolved or at least diagnosed propoerly.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

That's where I bought my 2006 GS300AWD. They have integrity issues and won't do any service there.

I had a similar problem right after I bought mine but it was worse on AM. They replaced the head unit which didn't help. They finally found the problem in the wiring. If I remember correctly there are 5 connections in the headliner at the rear window. Three of these were not connected. All is well now.

Is this a general problem or are some of you getting good reception on your GS350s??

I asked this question a while back and everybody thought I was nuts. I'm not alone but havnt been the dealer yet. Most of my lower fm channels come out bad. it gets worse with my lights on, and super bad with fogllights. Only thing is I upgraded my fogs to HID so I really dont want to mention that to them or they will point the finger at the fogs.

Good for you, but how is the radio reception in the new vehicle?

A little better than your previous one or "night and day" better?

Why don't you go with lemon law and change your GS for smoky granite?

I seem to be having the same problem and I live in Suffolk County too. They've already replaced my first GS 350 awd because of starting issues. I did notice on that car that I had some static on certain stations. The first thing I did tonight when I picked up my car was to try the radio to see if it was any better. Honestly, I think it is worse. Can't wait to take it back again. What is going on with Lexus?
