Audiophile Compares ML stereo to Premium Stereo.............
I did it today finally with broken in ML and broken in Premiuim. I can certainly hear a difference, although not giant, but worthwhile to me. More in the layers, depth, and feel of the sound. Premium sounded fine, but ML does sound better. I wouldn't worry about $2K more when buying a $45K-$55K car.
I don't have a GS but the ML in my 2IS is nothing short of incredible. I, too, have been into high-end audio for many years. The sound quality differences between the premium and ML systems are, in my opinion, night and day. Dynamics, resolution, power, soundstage and distortion are superior in every way. I waited 4 1/2 months for a car with ML and have never regretted it. It puzzles me that a true audiophile cannot distinguish between the two. Again, maybe the GS is different.

Sounds like you've got quite a bit if pocket change saying 2k isn't anything to worry about. Regardless, 2K is 2K, right?
