It'd be the same thing.

Safety or not, i'd rather be visible to someone rather than worry the color of the DRL light output.

^^ +2, also in CA, it's the law to have your headlights on at dawn/dusk or if you use your wipers, with DRLs you're always in compliance . . .

I think those lights are "parking lights" instead of DRL!!!

DRL = HIGH BEAM at 50% of power input, and "parking lights" is a little bulb right above HIGHT BEAM housing.

Isn't there a resistor/relay somewhere that is cutting the power going to the bulb? Can't you just eliminate it so they'lll be full brightness all the time? They may be too bright a dawn/dusk when the normal lights are off.

^^ 2 posts up

I think he is referring to the inner lights that turn on when the low beams are on

an example from our baller moderator's car

those will not be turned off when your DRL is disabled

Anyone konw of a company that i can buy the HID headlight, HID fot-light and get some DRL's that match? If not i guess i you can make it look decent by matching the head and the fog, while having the DRL be ultra yellow. I hate when there are two shades of white

you can find all your lighting need here

https://www.clublexus.com/index.php?...399&Itemid=178

and also, you can might HID for low beams and fog light..

but no one in their right minds will put HID for high beam, HID are not meant to be "flash" like halogen bulbs when you want people to move out of the fast lane.

if you hate the color, just change it to some polarg bulbs or something for the DRL and when low beams are on, change the inner parking lights to some LED for matching colors

Thanks for the info, i was not planning on putting HID's for the high beam...it would be a waste of $. I thoughi just change the DRL and the high-beam bolb to a nicer color. I hate having HID's and a non HID DRL/high-beam. I'm just OCD...i dunno.

i do not know, but i have setup that looks almost exactly like that

Xenon depot low beam D4S 6000k and Phillips Ultinon 9006 6000k, the inner parking lights are some LED bulbs I got (it's for sale if you want it, too much purple in the front for my taste)
