Car DOB
Or anyone who could help me out!
How do you get the D.O.B of your ride?
I see yours was 3-18-06
All I have for mine on the door was 7-06,which I would guess is one of the last GS300s built.
where did you find the day-date??
Thanks!

o.i.c.,I tried to google build dates and got no luck..
I was pretty pleased that the 7-06 build date should have shaken out all the little details I have been reading like the dash rattle,etc...so far so good

Dont be confused with the "Delivery Date" or "In Service Date"
Both of these are the date that the car was sold to its first owner.
The closest thing there is to a "Birthdate" would be the "Production Date"
This can be found in the drivers door frame, either on the rear of the door
itself (near the lock reciever) or on the car at the rear of the door frame.
Look for a square white sticker that will have the VIN and Weights for
the car. In the upper right corner of the sticker will be a month/year.
Will look like this "09/06" September, 2006. This is the month it left
the factory.

You've got a VIN number. Somewhere in some database in Toyota City, Japan, is a table that correlates that VIN number with a body number, which can then tell you not just the day, but the minute that your car rolled off line. In the future (or now, maybe?), they could even tell you if there were any quality checks made on your car in-process, and whether there was any off-line repair at the factory. Right now, though, the furthest you could probably go back would be to interview the people who made your car, who probably wouldn't remember it anyway, because they build about 500 cars per shift.
