Ways to add HP to GS430?

Bringing it from the dead for the third time. H'bout a supercharger? I might release mine if the price is right. So far, I've measured it and it doesn't seem to want to clear the hood on my 2GS. I'll have to drive with a modded hood - that'll give it away. I don't wanna deal with cops in California. My PM is full so...

executive matchup
it has been my understanding that no one has been able to crack toyota's ECU in order to provide more gains. if you do a search on this forum, you'll see that several companies have claimed they can do this, but the test results were not conclusive.

There's no such thing as cheap horsepower. Exhaust changes will often cost more HP than they deliver. If you're lucky, and your hp goes up, it will often occur at the expense of torque, which will make the car feel slower. Pre and post dyno is the only way to know for sure. Anything less than 20 hp will not result in any noticeable improvement. And an exhaust change by itself WILL NEVER deliver a 20+ hp increase....I don't care how it's done.
If an HP increase is achieved, you'll generally only feel it at the top of the RPM range. How much time do you spend at red-line in you luxury car?
Best advice....save your money.

I guess this means buy stock and ride stock. Don't make any changes. I think it's all personal choices.

The actual HP of the 430 is the same as the 06 300hp and 325 tq
The 350 is 303hp and 274tq.
I realize that Lexus changed the way they rated hp in 2007, but no changes were made to the motor. So technically, the hp and tq #'s are still the same.
The difference is the torque. 50 is a big # HP is what wins races yes, but torque puts you in front and helps pull the RPM up faster. And with only a 3 HP difference, but a 50 ft/lbs of torque difference, I stick with the V8. Plus the exhaust of the V8 destroys the sound of the 6. IMHO

the mapping of your ECU simply means that the car is set with fuel/air/ignition curves. when they remap it, they retune the car so that when you hit a certain RPM w/ a certain throttle response, your car will shoot a certain amount of fuel, ignition to balance the certain amount of air being taken in. hope it helps buddy

Not much of a problem man. Goggle Unichip, though I was told I'd have to take it to
a tuner; as they have not mapped one of their chips for the 4.3 liter engine. The closest
one to my location is in Arizona close to Phoenix.

Don't try remap - Toyota can't be remapped
of modifications - washable filter, cold air intake, catback exhaust and Don't forget to tell them you want the limiter turned off. What they will tell you, they'll sell you the chip and you
will be informed of a close to you programmer that specializes in Unichip tuning. It will have to be dynode and the chip point massaged to the mods you've performed..... and if you've
got the full output of the engine (HP) to spin the dyno up to the limiter @ 155 it will send a signal that the tuner and eliminate. I've only managed 150 1 time, but 145 more times than I'd
be able to count on fingers, toes, arms, legs, eyes, ears,........ you get the picture I've got an Escort that works Good, and a 12D shoe size. Plus I run 186+ Goodyear Eagles. But
only one time in traffic, mostly done on a rural road that has been repaved and it's long smooth and wide. Have only seen a few officers out there, so that's my test track. just sayin'
