Please post picture's.........I'm very curious on what the damage is, and why they (Lexus) won't repair it.

Dude, were just trying to help here. When you say I sound like the guy at Lexus that concerns me because maybe they really are seeing something fishy. If it was something you were experiencing from the first day you got your GS did you talk to Lexus about it, ask if was normal or could they take a look at it? Lexus will never refuse you to take a look at your car if you have any concerns about anything. I didn't mean to offend you when I said something sounds fishy, I just know my experience with Lexus for the past decade and they have never tried to scam me. When you post some picts there are others here that have "body" knowledge and will be able to identify what is going on. The people here are trying to help, when it comes to Lexus we have a great pride in our cars and something like this would just be totally unacceptable. Sorry for your troubles.

Default was it due to an accident?

The only way a Lexus dealer would blow you off is if he felt there was an accident involved. What Aprazer is forgetting to tell us about is a little accident he actually posted on this board back in April. I agree, the impact shouldn't pop a door hinge weld, but this incident may be tagged to your VIN.

Does your following post help recover your memory?

I just got my brand new black GS 300 yesterday. I was just backing out of the garage to take my baby for a joy ride.....and BAM! I backed into my F-150 that was parked on the street.....where it never is parked.....but it is now.....thanks to the GS.

I have a big dent in the back of my bumper....right on the corner point. I am so pissed right now. Can they pop that back out...or do they need to replace the entire rear bumper? Anybody have an idea on the cost of that? This SUCKS!!

Thanks,
Brian

Hmm I remember the above post about him backing into his truck, but at such a low speed impact how will that affect the door hinge???

Only issue I had w/ Lexus on warranties are the following: 2003 LX470 bought 3 yrs old w/ 3 yr CPO warranty: (1) lead plastic trim piece on rear quarter glass cracked due to heat in AZ. Glass is not covered by CPO warranty, only original 4 yr/50K warranty (2) steering wheel was crooked (like at 2 o'clock when driving on a flat road). When I bought the car, dealer had me drive on this street with a lateral slope (so steering wheel was "centered"). VGRS ECU replaced under CPO warranty (3) Rear A/C blower control in ceiling randomly goes to high after hard off-roading. Dealer could not replicate, so could not replace the switch; 2005 LS430: (1) front blower failed during the summer. Dealer got it working again by disconnecting the connection and reconnecting...requested and received new blower under CPO warranty (2) radar cruise control showed error after driving 200 miles w/ cruise 'on.' Known bug in cruise documented in TSB's. This should have been a recall but was covered under CPO warranty (3) two parking sensors in front bumper failed during first cold winter after moving out of AZ, replaced under CPO warranty (4) alternator failed at 85K mi (9 yrs old). I had bought a 3 yr extension to the 3 yr CPO warranty when I bought the vehicle. Called the roadside assistance hotline. Lexus said it wasn't covered. My conclusion is any extension to a CPO warranty is a gimmick, not underwritten by Lexus financial services. My guess it's some third party add-on. Local dealer was good and said they'd cover a tow if my battery was too weak to drive the 20 mi into town.
