Exclamation Can I replace just one tire??

Just had a wheel repair company destroy one of my tires (rear passenger side).

Car is an '06 GS430.

I need to know if I can replace just one tire on this car. Most of my previous cars had warned me not to do that especially if the car has traction control or a locking rear diff of any kind.

The car has 18,500 miles on it.

What do you guys think?

I would think that the GS430 is equipped with performance tires, which means that it's not that far from the end of its life (summer tires last from 15-25k). It's not safe to replace just one tire--I would at least replace both rear tires.

If you had less than 5k, I would say np, but anything over, especially 10k, I highly recomend it...
