Yes chrome makes all the difference with those wheels. Dude if your car is not an AWD then you have to drop that bad boy. Unless you are taking your car into some rough areas a lot then lowering is the way to go. Trust me, I waited almost a whole year because of the same reasons you mentioned but after I did it I really wish I would have done it a long time ago. I truly believe the 430 takes the lowering better than the 300 in terms of ride quality but still if you have a 300 you could do a moderate drop and not feel a thing. I hope you do it one way or the other, that is a sweet looking setup you have and the lowering just makes all the diference in the world. Your car will feel complete, as I feel mine is now. After I did it I really have no desire to go to larger rims which is what I wanted to do first. The lowering with 18" rims makes the car look perfect. Trust me you will love it.

Looks prefect!

My lunch buddy has the exact same color GS and wheels but without chrome. His ride already looks great but chrome brings the car up a class! Gotta ask my buddy to consider chroming his too!

Man I think you just convinced me into dropping my car now What springs would you recommend and how low would the drop be? Again I'm use to tuning Acuras and Hondas and you do scarfice the ride quality for that slam look.Just don't want to lose the quality of the ride for looks. I helped my friend installed some springs in his 01 GS 300 and mine is a 300 also do you think I would be able to install it also or should I bring it to a professional ?

For me I wanted the job done right so I had Lexus do it. Yes it was more expensive but they did it right and covered all the needed changes to make the drop work. If you want the aggressive look go with the Tunabe DF210's. On my 430 this worked perfectly and I am sure it would look just as good on a 300 but I don't know what the feel difference would be. If you want to be a little more conservative the other option would be to use the Tunabe NF210's. This will retain the normal feel as much as possible but in my opinion doesn't quite fill the wheel well for an ideal drop. Either way you would be making the car look better. The question to you would be if you are going to spend the money what is more important to you, close to stock feel or the ideal look. My .02 cents worth for your setup would be go with the DF210's. That would look real good with your wheels.

Here is a link to where you can get the springs for the lowest price I have seen. Saves you a little money to help compensate for the overall cost to lower the car.

If you do the drop share your picts. GL

Thanks I was contemp on the way it looks and was gonna start with a custom system but Raptor.1 convince me into lowering it so guess thats next. Car is currently at dealer for the infamous rattle in the dash although I told them if it involved in removing the dash to hold off on it .
