My 460 also makes the noise, it was one of the first things I noticed, especially at a drive through, my old 2ng gen GS300 had a much quieter engine. But my 460 is much more quiet inside than my old GS. I can't really even hear the engine with all the windows closed let alone with music playing. As long as the engines last like the old ones did I don't think there's much to get mad about.

You don't have any injector noise on your 2010? Man, I sure do. Drives me crazy!!! I love the car but damn.........when I pull into garage or in a drive thru?

I bought it this past Nov (2015) with 100k on it so I guess its OK to live with it...not sure yet and very close to a "deal breaker" for me. I love everything else about the car. BUT, if I would have bought it brand new ($50-55k) I would absolutely return it to the dealer. A "premium" car that makes this kind of noise seems absurd to me.

I did take it to Petersen's Lexus in Boise, ID and they said that this injector system makes this noise and that it's 100% normal for this car/engine. Of course, this was after they admittedly screwed me on a bogus tranny "flush" and returned my money. Love those dealers, huh?

I can't believe people are still talking about the engine noise pertaining to DI engines...you want an engine that you can't hear....go buy a late 90's LS 400....lol

It doesn't bother me one bit because all brands make that ticking nosie and I love the HP and torque gains from DI...

This is the only reason I kept away from Lexus for so many years.

You get use to it...My QX56 DI engine sounds like a diesel at idle. Doesn't bother me at all. I kinda like it now...lol

Why does everything think this is only a Lexus issue? There are numerous auto manufacture that are using DI engine and they are just as noisy as Lexus.
