Yeah, I drove the new GS430 and the M45 Sport pretty much back-to-back one day, and while I prefer the interior of the GS430, I really didn't like the way it drove, even with the adjustable suspension in sport mode. The M45 Sport felt so much more aggressive and planted, and the throttle response was night-and-day between the two. The M45 also felt more spacious inside for passengers but somehow smaller when you drove it hard, a damned amazing combination!

If the Lexus drove like the Infiniti or the Infiniti had the interior of the Lexus, it'd be a slam dunk either way. I'm hoping that when Lexus creates their tuner division (presumably being introduced in Detroit with the new IS500) that they put out a GS with immediate throttle response and super-tight handling as well as fast-in-a-straight-line acceleration.

Also My new gs430 I payed 715 a month for 36 months with 1572 out of pocket with 15k miles a year and that was in Aug. It doesn't seem like its much more.
Dude...i can't wait for your move to auh auh.....

Enjoy your new ride Sam
Infiniti definetely stepped up to their A game. I like the looks of a GS a lil bit beter but the the m45 sport is a better vehicle in terms of performance. Waiting for the GS loyalist to say wait till the new gs 460 yea yea.

Congrats! I hope you enjoy your Infiniti. When Infiniti refreshes the M45 in 2-3 years I may consider it. I really like the car, but didn't care for some of the details (i.e. the wood trim, tail lights, 5-speed automatic, etc.). If Infiniti fixes those things they may have me as a customer. I will say I liked the seats MUCH better in the Infiniti. The seats in the GS are okay, but no where near as supportive and comfortable as the seats in the M.

As for other M35/45 forums, I recommend: www.infinitiowners.org or www.m45forum.com

I agree. The controls on the dash and the navigation system aren't are intuitive as the Lexus.

Congrats, Sam. I'm a former Lexus owner (SC,GS) who traded for an M45 Sport as well. I've had it for 8 months and 8,000 miles. It is one great car! I didn't care for the amber lighting either, but it has grown on me. Everything else I loved from the beginning and still do. See you over at FreshAlloy.

I had a couple of close calls while turning onto some narrow streets in Queens even while going extremely slow. I've learned that the stock 19s with the performance tires definitely do not handle the snow at all. The street where my apt is located is on a hill and I couldn't get enough traction to make it up the hill. I had to back onto Queens Blvd. The same thing happened on the next block. Finally 2 blocks down the street was flat enough to make it. Then I came back to down. I was so relieved once the car was safely in my garage.

Yes, they are called Summer Tires for a reason!

PS - Congrats on the ride. I looked at the M45 very closely before going with the 550 - I figured for only $12K more (sticker), how could I go wrong?
