Default Hesitation

I have a 2006 GS300 that heistates very noticably when I hit the accelerator even slightly agressively when it shifts from 1st to 2nd. This is lessened significantly when I put it in the power mode, but it is still noticeable. Is this normal?

Mine hesitates on downshift, and has a wierd drop in rpm before it shifts. Like at 45 mph, giving another 3/4 inch of throttle, it bogs, waits, shifts, and accelerates.

The hesitation you feel is the delay in the car's computer process the information. The same thing happened when the '98 models were introduced. The more functions the comp. process the more of delay you feel OR the more comps they add to the car the more it hesitates I agree it happens for a split second but the hesitation is noticeable. Not a whole lot you can do but I can tell you that as time goes by you learn to ignore it.

Thanks for the help, but I have to say this seems like a pretty poor reality!

What a shame that Lexus still has this problem. Back in 2000, I bought a new 00 GS300 that had the same problem. My buddy bought a new 02 es300 and he also had the same problem.
