This is another update to my original post. My dealer had their third party interior company redye the cover. They did not take the cover off. It looks like new again and I'm glad I had it done. The dealer is basically saying it was damaged and they did me a favor taking care of it with no charge. I doubt they would do it again.

Now I wonder how long it's going to be before it's scuffed up again.

I have the same problem with less than 1,400 miles. Took my GS430 to my dealer today, and they are replacing the plastic part under the warranty. They were very concerned, and did not give me any negative responses. The service rep said he would order the replacement part tomorrow, and should have it ready to install by next Wednesday. Now that is great customer service!

 

my body and my seatbelt on the return is causing mine very similar wear. its dissapointing and no matter how much i armor-all or attempt to protect it i notice it always comes back quickly. i will mention on next service appt along with dash glass shaking. i think its loose or something.
