1 week old car + valet = TROUBLE
Wow, who brought this thread back from the dead...it's almost been two years since this happened.
When the damage occurred, I had just picked up my GS a week earlier. Talk about being pissed.
i bet. dang. Sometimes I actually say just leave my car here, don't move it. I give them a 20 or so, they don't get in it. Just leave it there, and it's ready when I am ready to leave.
Why let someone drive your car if it's unecessary? I don't.

Its not just fact that they dent up your beloved Lex. I've had valets jack stuff from my car.
I use the quarter system. I leave exactly 12 quarters in my cupholder. More often then not, a couple come up "missing"
Talk about feel violated, ESPECIALLY after you realize you tipped the BAST***DS!

if you go stand there with a sign saying this restaurant's valet damaged my brand new car and is denying it, im sure the managment will agree to work with you. you can do this legally as a "protest". also, add the resataurant's number to every kind of spam and advetising list you can. add their adress to a whole bunch of advertising subscription. make reservations and dont honor them, anything you can do to make them suffer. :-)
