I don't feel color combo AND wheels. 22" is too big IMO, 20 or maybe 21 would have done the job

Bigger isn't always better...

Does the larger diameter really degrade the ride quality? I remember that there is a performance issue with getting really low-profile tires, but how much degradation can they cause as far as ride-smoothness?

Looks ok, but personally I also would have gone one or 2 inches down.

I agree, the color combo is not pleasing to my eyes. Also, they're too big and make the car look high. I think the black carpet gives the illusion that it is not as high as it really is. If you look at the lowest part of the side-skirts, they are a little lower than the center of the rims, so the car is actually higher off the ground with these rims. 20s in chrome or brushed aluminum would suit this car much better.

well, wheels are one thing, but the tire profile is another. in this case, the profile is same as the 295/25/20, so i don't think the ride is going to be any much worse than the same setup on the 20s

regarding the modifcation, i still go back to my question. can the car still turn?

Yeah I agree with others here. The black rims dont look to great with this silver car. I have seen other cars with this color combo that look alright(A4, M3, etc), but the new GS doesnt pull it off to well.

Good comparo to the 745Li D2autosport . I was thinknig the same thing as soon as I saw the pic. Its like the new GS has the same potential as the 7-series.

According to D-2, the wheels fit fine according to the owners.

Its nice to see the new GS already at car shows already, Lexus has always been loved the the show circuit.

no mods at all, as I said it was a more of a "wow it doesnt look stupid" than a "i want that car now" type thing! I think I would attempt 21" on a new GS after seeing this though!

Yeah it can copy the tire sizes in the rear, too bad the offsets are different so it cant come close on the lip action! LOL I wish Lexus would just apply the SC430 offset specs to all its cars from now on LOL

WTF? I'm shocked that there are so many CL'ers who thinks this actually looks good. IT LOOKS HORRIBLE. Maybe 21's, I doubt it. 20's should be about right. But those 22's look like the 2nd gen GS on 21's - yes they look that bad. I want my cars to at least LOOK like they can be driven. That car looks like it can only go in a straight line...

Sorry if I've ruffled some feathers, but this is JMO. Bigger is not always better.

I mean, everyone is entitled to there own opionion, but I was under the impression that most are excited because the new GS can fit such a tall and wide tire. I observed that most didnt like the color combination(self included). Its a nice designed rim and very clean looking, but the colors dont match appropriately.
