Wink Anyone (almost) high-centered your GS yet?

So.. On my first full day of ownership (ok -- I've actually had mine almost for a month now), driving over to my daughters school to pick her up, I made the big mistake of doing something that I do with my '96 Chevy full-size pickup truck -- go into her schools parking lot somewhat sideways.. This caused a nasty scraping sound like I was scraping lord knows what underneath the vehicle on the sidewalk.. The entry way for this particular driveway is somewhat high compared to the street.. Needless to say, I didn't do any damage to the vehicle (that I've noticed), but I've also never tried to do it again either -- now I just keep the GS in the street where it belongs...

Anyone else do this yet?

Moral of the story -- what works in a truck won't necessarily work in the GS!

I should have indicated that I went at a 45 degree angle (diagonal) to the "face" of the parking lot entry (where you would normally enter in a perpendicular angle).. I'm not sure what would happen if I took the same entry way perpendicular to the curb (aka the normal way) -- possibly would have either scraped the front or still scratched the bottom once I got up it (this particular curb is probably about 12" tall I'd guess which makes it a bit more of a challenge for some cars)..

Good thing your gs wasn't lowered. And if you ever lower it, your gona have to learn a whole new way of driving.

No doubt! I guess I've been driving a p/u truck for a bit too long now.. I forgot what it was to drive a small low-to-the-ground (in comparison) vehicle again.. I guess in hind-sight, a good "Doh" would be in order.. (and Duh I guess too!)
