Motor Week on PBS test/review
I just saw Motorweek on PBS testing a GS430. Not particularly memorable but had the same complaint we've hear before from testers. VDIM too intrusive, can't spin the wheels or toss the car around
I thought that was the intention of the electronics?!?!. I remember when ABS was first introduced, followed by Traction Control, etc. Everyone raved about all the additonal safety and control it added. Lexus should have added a switch to turn all that off so the testers could throw it around and give the car the marks it deserves. For me, I'll take all the extra electronic help I can get.

I watched the Motorweek segment on the GS430. Other than VDIM, Motorweek generally praised the car. But they definitely felt VDIM was far too intrusive for their testers. As typical with Motorweek's reviews, very little time was given to aspects of the car other than performance and handling.
