Quote:Thanks for sharing the pics...when you said you can't play DVDs is that because you didnt get NAV?
----------

No the GS430 is fully loaded, ML/Nav, Radar cruise, PCS - everything, in the UK there is only one "Top" spec GS430 and no options (it's got everything already!)

However the ML system with Nav will only permit CD playback, it ignores any DVD's you feed it completely

Just a little something we seem to have lost here in the UK spec cars.....

Nice pictures, nice car!

Likewise here in Korea, they only come fully loaded. Only option missing is the Nav, apparently because they don't work in Asian languages yet. I'm so envious of you all using the voice activated NAV. Here, I'll have to settle for an aftermarket NAV addition which works by a remote. Good thing is that when I get the NAV installed, it also installs a DVD and TV capabilities. I'm also considering the new DMB installation, which is the new satellite based TV for mobile phones and cars (apparently Korea's the first to launch this). You get digital TV (all cable channels) on your mobile phone or in your car - this will make up for not having the voice activated NAV.

I'll post some pictures soon. It's black on black GS430 with 20% LLumar tint (makes it look even better). By the way, the 5-spoke semi-Chrome wheels look GREAT with dark colors.

Thanks for the comments! Appreciated! The stock 18" wheels really set the car off for me...

Sounds like your GS will look the part with Black/Tint! Look forward to seeing your pics. Enjoy!

Shame about the voice commands for Korean market, we are just getting to grips with it now, the bluetooth was excellent though, picked up and worked with a Motorola V600 first time and we got good reports about the system when in use!

Too right!

Anyway, Lexus spoils us - they relocate the transmission shifter and hi-fi volume control to be nearer the driver for right-hand drive. Not all manufacturers bother with this level of attention to detail.

As a matter of fact, I think I will do her. My order is for a glacier frost/ash grey gs300 awd. I just called and changed it to Shadow/Cashmere.

Shimmers,
We do not have Nav as well here in Singapore. I am looking for an aftermarket version to install. Can you share what is the model and does it work well?

What's that button on the left of AFS button and on top of the RESET button. GS in the States doesn't have those buttons.

That button is to turn off the interior ultrasonic alarm detectors so you can leave your dog/cat/snake/chipmunk/kids/wife/grandma etc.... in the locked car without them tripping the alarm system.

I actually have the same button in my Landcruiser (GX) as well
