Few of questions:
1. Anyone know if the GS has maintenance / service indicators? (like the bmw/merc)
2. Brake pad wear indicators?
3. Are the service intervals still at 5K kms? if so why doesnt lexus adopt longer service intervals? I know the bmws have a service interval of around 25K kms. Given lexus reliability i think it should be the other way round!

That my friend, I don't know I believe they all say come every 5k but my suggestion, change the oil every 5k, get major services done like 30, 60, 90k and brakes and you'll be fine.

 

1) Yes, you get a oil change aka maintenance required indicator light which triggers at 5,000 mile intervals.

2) All modern vehicles have brake pad wear indicators. You will hear the high pitched squeal when the pad reaches it's maximum life.
