I would have another question:
How about the new GS's trunk capacity? Is it the same as the old GS had, or it's smaller? From the pics i saw it seems smaller.

Unfortunately it's smaller by 2 cubic feet. 12.7 for the new 06 GS and 14.8 cubic feet for the Gen 2 98-05 GS.

I would like to know more about the SmartAccess. I've read that you don't have to unlock the doors and so on, the system detects that you are approaching to the car and there is no need to take your keys out of your pocket for opening the doors and starting the car... What i would like to know, is that approx from what distance "feels" the car that the owner with the keys is approaching? I mean, for example, if i'm standing at a distance of 6 or 7 cars from mine, and there is someone standing next to my Lexus, could he open the doors easily and start the car before i could reach the car and try to stop stealing it? I mean the car detects that i'm not so far from it, so would it let himself to be opened for someone that is just standing next to my car? Or how does this system work?
Because i've heard stories of other brands, for example Renault, that people have stolen this way cars, the owner was far from his car, but the car detected the key near, and let the others open and start it without any problems. And the poor owner only could shout for help, his car was easily stolen.
So, does anyone have such experience with this feature? I'm really interested how does this work in a Lexus.

I have found a thread about SmarAccess, and read there very good things about the system. So you have to touch the handle with your fingers, i didn't know this. Great feature.
Rading your posts about the new GS, i'm just loving it more and more.

Oh...loaded with ML system and Nav, Parking Sensor, rear camera, rain sensitive wipers, perforated leather w/ ventilated seats...and I got $500 off of MSRP.

MrSypher- New wheels needs New wheels. I am sure they would look great, but then what will the old car look like.
Plus are you going to put on new tires? How is the wear on the old set? You don't want to loose that new ride.
