Default first 75 mile update

Pros:
effortless shifting like a hot knife through butter
windows in the back go all the way down
dvd works w/ parking brake engaged
smart access keyless entry is amazing
countless gawks and stares
able to sync me whole phone book w/ my T610
nobody can tell i was using the bluetooth
acceleration is very fast
quiet interior
LEDs under driver and passenger seats so they light up the back floor

Cons:
My Carlos Santana DVD-a didn't play, need to go return it
can't use voice to dial via bluetooth like the RL or TL (it's a 1000 dollar option)
still having a hard time to program how long lights stay on, when doors lock etc, should have all been on set-up screen instead of pressing hot keys
can't dial when car is in motion
can't change address when car is in motion

The leather smell in the new GS is not the typical Toyota/Lexus leather smell. It smells more like a new GM leather scent. Not necessarily a bad thing. Just something i observed.

Thats EXACTLY what i sensed too when i sat in the new GS....it did not have it typical smell that a toyota car gives you. It did smell somewhat of a very different scent like a brand new GM vehicle. I agree with flip.... i didnt post this only because i was scared what ppl would say to me after they read i compared it to a GM vehicle...LOL since flip already posted - im safe...

bluetooth still syncs your phone, but you have to push the phone button, and use the touch screen to dial numbers. you can just say "dial home"

Flip, what car did this replace? In other words, what are you comparing to the new GS?

so "dial home" is the only voice command it knows? or are there others? i don't get it . . .

even if you have voice dialing cellphone it still doesn't do it?
are there presets for frequently used numbers at least?

If you ever get a chance, sit in a brand new Pontiac Grand Prix w/Leather and you will smell that scent. I used to work for Hertz Rent A Car. When we first got those cars in, that smell got pretty old fast, especially in the heat.

You mean what I drove to the dealership last night? My 2004 IS300 E-Shift w/44,100 miles. Purchased new in Sept 03 from Longo. I even have L-Tuned sways and was impressed with the handling.

My IS wont be replaced. It will be accompanied w/a new GS when the 450h or 460 is available. I don't buy first year production cars.
