Hello 3rd generation family. I know it's said that the ticking sound is common on these lexus models but do anyone knows any solution to this problem? Also, if I decide to replace the lifters which one is making the noise? It sounds like the driver side I'm not sure. Thanks

 

is it actually lifter noise you're hearing? I'd get it properly diagnosed.

 

Agree. A damaged belt, low oil pressure or a noisy injector is easier to diagnose. Rule everything else out first as lifters is a big job. You could replace lifters and find the new ones tick due to an oil blockage. Worth checking everything.
