Radiator cap replacement
Hello fellow 3rd generation owners. I have a 2007 lexus gs 350awd. Yesterday I was driving and my car and the lower radiator hose disconnected. I'm at a cross road as to the reason why this happened. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Also, a few months ago I had this similar issue for motor mounts replacement. The hose just disconnected. Anyone knows what is the best radiator cap to use as well. Thanks
What do u mean the hose just disconnected? Like it just slipped off the radiator port? The hose and clamp should be replaced. Usually the hose will swell when they get old. Did you inspect the hose? See if it was damaged or anything? Radiator hoses are pretty cheap, no reason to reuse that isn’t in perfect condition. If the hose is perfect, then inspect the radiator port, make sure it’s cracked or anything. The cap shouldn’t be your problem. They hold about 16 psi, and have an overflow tank for excess pressure. Your hoses should never blow off
