Default ABS problem

Hi, hope someone can help, I have a GS450H 2006 year with an abs problem, it first came up with an abs and other lights on the dashboard, when I investigated I noticed the left front sensor wire was broken near the plug end so I replaced it and cleared the faults but the lights were still on and scanner was still showing fault on left front sensor, so I replced the sensor itself with a brand new unit, still the same problem, so after much investigation I noticed there was no live to the sensor when the ignition was switched on, so I traced all wires and found no breakes, so I replaced the abs module near the abs pump with a used part, still the same problem, so I replaced the abs pump itself with a used part by just plugging it in but not connected the pipes at this stage, still the same! any help would be greatly appreciated.

The abs sensor that you purchased was it oem or aftermarket? If its aftermarket I would purchase oem or even a used oem sensor. Or look on the back of your old sensor see who manufactured the parts, for instance if it was denso, maybe you can find an aftermarket denso. If you ran a oem sensor, then next thing I would do is look at the magnet/relector rotor inside of the front hub. It could be rusted out or even or broken inside the hub. Did you test the abs wire with a voltmeter on continuity from the plug to the connector, then from the connector to the abs module pin?

If you have a good scanner, it should have a setting to where you can live data wheel sensors. Raise the car on the ground, and spin each wheel, the scan tool should tell you what speed each corner wheel is spinning.

I wouldnt be in a rush to swap the abs module or pump, if I am not mistaken those need to get programmed to your car. Try to replace all the old parts and see

It was a new aftermarket sensor, yes my scanner detects no speed on the left front using live data, I am concerned that I am not getting a live to the sensor with the ignition on.
