I have a 2007 GS 350 with around 280k-- I've owned it since 2015/85k. Haven't had any major issues [knock on wood] but there is one thing I can't figure out, and it's the external temp display in the LCD strip above the display screen. Every once in a while, the top bar will change to Celsius while the display in the Nav and the gauge cluster message center stays in Fahrenheit. It happens more often when its hot out, so at first I thought it was because there might not be enough room for a '2' to be the middle digit.. but then it happened around 80F, then it /didn't/ happen when it was over 120.
I'm assuming there's some solder somewhere on a chip board for the top display that's getting too hot, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this happen, or if anyone had any ideas.
