Default rad cap?

check to be sure your rad. vent tube is not plugged with sludge. clean the overflow tank and be sure the line from tank to rad. is clear.
overflow tube is usually located on the filler neck of the radiator, below the rad cap.
BE SURE ENGINE IS COOL PRIOR TO REMOVING RAD CAP!! I don't want you to get a scald on your hand.
if the hose does not return to normal shape when you release the rad cap pressure, the hose is worn and should be replaced beofere it fails under pressure.

The radiator cap itself may also be faulty. Basically, it does not open the vacuum vent valve in engine cooling conditions and your cooling system creates a vacuum that compresses the hose.
