I have a 1999 gs400 with severe rust on the car's underside, the cross members and the frame near the pinch welds being the worst affected. The car was sitting for a long time I was wondering whether it was worth attempting to fix the rust issue and install some coil overs on the car, or would it be better to sell/part out the vehicle and start again with a gs400 in better condition. the rest of the car is in good condition, the electronics and engine are working properly, and the car has minimal rust on the outside as well. I've attached a few pictures of the worst areas of the chassis below.
At today's prices, almost certainly more cost effective to rid yourself of this one and get a clean specimen. It would cost a lot more to fix all this rust properly.
