Has anyone ever had any problem like this? One morning when driving the short journey to work my much loved but sadly no longer with me 2005 GS300 appeared to become stuck at 5000 revs - this meant I got very fast very quickly. I needed to pull off any way so jammed my brakes on and went off the slip road. Then had to give way so literally had smoke pouring out of my wheels. Got to work braking the whole time and switched off. I went back out later and it was still doing it. No sign of anything near the accelerator pedal etc. I had it towed to Lexus dealer who, after several days said they checked all the logs and there was nothing wrong so it must have been the mat that had got caught and caused it. I think they even spoke to Lexus HQ and the whole thing seemed a bit suspicious. It was pretty scary but never happened again luckily. Anyone heard of anything similar?
