Default Help Older motor newer Lexus?

Can a 1uz from a let’s say ‘92 sc 400 fit in a 2000 Lexus gs400? I want to put it in my Gs since the rods are a lot better but I’m not sure if it will fit.. asked fb groups and no one gave me a response.. thanks!

Might have to swap motor mounts and play with the drive shaft but all in all should go in. But you're on older tech since that's a pretty dated motor and the electronics.

I'd just build a jdm 1uz on the side the way you want and drop it in

Rods better for what? Forced induction? Unless your UZ is totally blown, you'd be better off just building it. XAT racing is UZ obsessed and has rods, pistons, arp bolts for everything, cams for those engines etc. all you need if you just have to have a built UZ. They do big brake kit adapters and a lot with forced induction too. Might be a good place to look if you have aspirations for your car. Good luck affording it though. Nothing like building a Chevy LS.
