Default Floor layout same as 2006+?

I have a 2003 gs300

I'm looking to buy weathertech floor mats. Question is they do not have them for my year but they do have for 2006.

Anyone know if they layout is the same? If I order using 2006 will they fit?

Is this a serious question or are you trolling?

Not sure why anyone would waste their time trolling in this sense but no.

I don't have access to a 2006 to check, the only thing i can see different from pictures is the 2006 has a reverse gas pedal

Dude the reason why no one has responded to your question is because it’s silly. The 3rd generation is a different body, different car, different interior, different bells and whistles, etc. so the answer is NO. It’s unrealistic to think floor mats molded for a 3rd generation will fit our body style that’s molded differently. Stay safe this weekend

Judging by your previous posts, you don't contribute much.

it's not "silly" to think the floor layout may be the same. Do you honestly think they redesign the entire car from the ground up every generation? Generation literally means revisions of the same model. I don't know this car much as i've only owned it for 2 years and never planned on modding it or making serious changes to it. Now that i've dumped a good amount of money into it, i'm looking into keeping it clean.

I guess if no one else wants to contribute, ill go to the junkyard and do some measurements myself.

No, "Generation" means entirely new model. For example, all 1998-2005 GS's are the same "generation." There was a minor revision in 2000, but they were still the same generation. 1st generations models ran until '97, and the 3rd generation started in '06. Model years given for the US market, of course.

Yes, your question was silly. The 3rd generation shares precisely one thing with the 2nd, and that's that they both received the 4.3L V8.

Granted some of the posts above were rudely stated, but they’re right. Each generation is a new ground up car with a new interior layout and typically few carryover parts. There are revisions in each generation (2gs had one in 2001) with minor trim changes and updates.

They aren’t the same. You can simply google up images of the floor mats to compare them.

Hmm while we're at it, I had no idea my car was a v8.

Thank you for actually providing me with usable information. I googled floor mats but didn't come up with a good comparison like you did sir.

I was being sarcastic bud, just don't know why that was such a ridiculous question to ask.

I never said it was. Again, your reading comprehension leaves something to be desired.

They did. There were other engines, but the one thing the 2GS and 3GS have in common is that the GS430 used the 3UZ. Now you know.

You’re right, I rarely post anymore since I know this generation inside and out, but it’s exhausting when new members ask the same questions over and over without searching. There have been multiple threads recently where new members ask for feedback, we respond, they get upset then attack us. Again my patience has grown thinly for certain topics on board.

But to correct your statement, I did contribute, but you didn’t want to accept my CORRECT answer of NO, but decided to incorrectly debate the generation term. In the future, when you don’t have ample knowledge regarding a certain topic...humble yourself, then read or listen first.
