GSS342 Pump
I've seen that a lot of people use this pump for their builds and I'm pretty satisfied that it will physically fit fine in the module. But as far as the electrical connector and fuel strainer, no one goes into detail on the actual install. I'm wanting to just buy the pump and not guess if it needs a connector pigtail and a special strainer sock and waste money just to have it on hand. If anyone knows, will this fit in like stock with the connector going right in? It looks exactly like oem, but want to be sure.
My plan is to use this Walbro 255lph pump with a new oem style strainer sock and the in tank filter. Need to know if the Walbro needs its own kind of strainer sock or a new connector wired in.

Well I went with the 342 since it has the same inlet and outlet locations. Bought a new filter and oem style strainer sock as well as a seal for the module. Will update after install to aid others in the future on how direct or indirect the fitment is.

Received a Chinese knock off pump, install postponed until I return it and receive a Genuine one. Walbro pumps are one of the most counterfeited parts out there. Research how to tell a real from fake one if interested in getting one.

Ouch, I know ebay is the worst for counterfeit car parts and I been trying to avoid them for that reason. I like to use some performance shop sites like THMotorsports and dirftmotion. I also use rockauto for oem replacement Denso parts.

Rock is an outstanding site for replacement parts. But they don't carry these pumps. They can still be found by honest sellers for cheaper on ebay, but this time I got unlucky. The seller refunded right away. I like ordering form Andy's Autosport and Summit Racing for aftermarket stuff when it needs to come from a legit site. I already e-mail'd Andy's about where they source the pump from. If they get it directly from Walbro then I'll just fork over the extra $$ so I don't get screwed again. THMotorsports has it at a good price. I'll ask them too. Thanks.
