Default 2000 GS400 Steering

I'm new to the GS and I love it so far, the power is addictive but my steering is oddly heavy on center. Is there a way to check its function to see if its operating right? It doesn't snap back to center and is REALLY hard coming off it. Has anyone else fixed this issue because I know this isn't right.

if the p/s has fluid and good pressure, sounds like you have a lot of toe-in... that'll keep you going straight, with purpose.

I had the same, turned out to be bad caster arm #2 bushings. Replaced the bushing with some ROCA brand units, all good now.

I haven't had an alignment yet but I did have the suspension checked and I have sway bar links on the way. I'll have my guy take a look at the caster arm bushings when we do the sway bar links.

If you're cleaning up the front suspension, and haven't done them already... front lower ball joints.

I had my mechanic specifically check them and they were fairly new. My clunk/rattle is coming from my sway bar links. I think we are going to really dive into the front end next weekend though.
