Default I have a parasitic battery drain and I think it's coming from my fan

2001 Lexus GS430. Battery is about 3 months old. I'm positive the alternator is still good though I will check those down the line.

I have a parasitic battery drain that I think is coming from my fan. This morning the car was dead and I had no idea why, I got a jump and went to work. About 25-30 minutes later a coworker came and told me my fan was still running, the left fan to be exact. He gave me a jump because the car wouldn't turn over. I kept the ground disconnected so I was able to get home.

i get home and leave the battery connected to see what would happen. I go outside about 1 hour later and again the battery is pretty much dead. One thing I noticed was that the left fan was running once I had attempted to turn the car on.

Any way I can go about this? I've read about Relays and Switches but not having a diagram I don't know where these things are located.

Thanks for the help!

Either the input to the relay is bad, or the relay is bad... any engine codes?

Most likely the relay itself.

Where is the Relay located and what's the best way to tell it's bad?

So I just checked my coolant level and it's pretty low. Could that cause the fan to run constantly?

Took it to my mechanic, he couldn't find anything. The fan never turned on either

Car fired right up this morning.

I don't know what to do from here.

So I woke up this morning and the battery was dead again. Left fan was running when I popped the hood. Also the coolant was low again after the mechanic had filled it

I heard some fuses clicking. Wonder if it could be that?

Fuses don't click, relays do... which takes us back to the original statement...

Either the input to the relay is bad, or the relay is bad...

This reminds me of the late-'80s Dodge Neons... the relay would go bad, and run the fan until the battery died. It was so bad, people either trained themselves to unplug the fan after getting out of the car (and plug back in, to get working a/c), or (no kidding) would put a on/off switch in the grille, so they could flip the switch when they got out (some put it under the dash/columnn, so they could flip it when they got out of the car).

Took it up to another shop today. Guy found out it was the fan motor. It's was drawing too much power and burning out the relays.
