Vibrating noise in my Gs

I have a 2003 GS300. Lately, this vibrating noise comes and goes when my AC is off. As soon as I turn on the AC, the noise stops. The noise sounds like a phone vibrating on a table. Sometime the sound lasts for a couple seconds, sometimes for about 12-20 seconds. I’ve heard it vibrate when I’m in Drive and park. What is causing this?

I suspect engine mounts. The extra load of the a/c compressor makes an rpm change. This may be enough of a change in idle to stop the vibrations.

Does it happen under no-load revving, or acceleration?
