2004 GS 300 dash chirping noise
i have a chirping noise coming from the passenger side of my dash. It sounds just like if you needed to replace a battery in a fire alarm. Anyone know what is causing this? I do have heat/AC and there does not seem to be any difference in temperature between the left vs right side of the vehicle.
If you do know, any approximate cost for how much to get fixed?
Any help is appreciated!!!

Is is constant, or does it happen under certain conditions?
We discovered the stability-alert this winter (which sounds a lot like the smoke detector alert), with snow tires... dear Lexus, yes, I very much know that we're experiencing over-steer.

Suspect a mode or blend door actuator. Try moving the air position and listen/feel for the change and any associated noise. Then move the temp through its range and again, see if it moves through its range and if there are any associated noises. If one makes the noise, it will likely need replaced. Very common on older automatic temp control systems. You might try removing your cabin air filter first (behind the glove box) and see if a rodent has made a nest there. This happens a lot too and can cause odd noises when its foliage gets spun around.
